![]() I am a character in the book myself, and will consider the ways in which we frame big-picture history through our own experiences and how we remember it. It was a year when the history wars were acted out on a new stage with the opening of the National Museum of Australia, and one when many Australians felt disappointed that by the time of the Centenary of Federation we had failed to reconcile with Indigenous people.
